Overseas Patients
Only Smiles

A large number of overseas patients have sought treatment at OSDC over the years. It is heartening to see that most of these patients visit us periodically for follow-ups during their visits to Mumbai, and also refer their close friends and family to us. We welcome patients who are time-bound, and do our best to complete their dental treatment in the shortest time possible, without compromising on quality.
Our Dental Implant treatment services include a special "Fast-Tracking technique" for our time-bound patients. This technique has been devised by Dr. Udatta Kher himself with his years of expertise in the field. The technique has been published in various international journals, and has stood the test of time with a very high success rate. This Fast-Track technique however, can only be applied when the patient's entire set of teeth has to be replaced. This technique reduces the number of clinic appointments from 10 (conventional method) to a maximum of 4 (Fast-Track Method), and it is relatively hassle-free. In cases where only a few teeth need to be replaced with dental implants, the implants and temporary crowns can also be fitted on the same day itself. The sequence of appointments can be described as follows:

Visit 1 - Consultation and Diagnostic data
During this visit, the patient will get a complete oral examination done, followed by a scan or x-rays. The doctor will formulate a treatment plan based on the diagnostic data and the time available for treatment. The patient can clear all doubts by asking questions and will also be provided with an estimate of the treatment costs based on which he/she can make a decision regarding the treatment.

Visit 2 - Implant Placement
During this visit, the patient will have the implants placed under local anaesthesia. The procedure usually is done in under an hour. The patient is sent home with fixed temporary teeth on this day. These temporary teeth will be used until the implant integrates with the bone (6-12 weeks).

Visit 3 & 4 - Fixing the Permanent teeth
This procedure is conducted after the tissues have adequately healed, and the implant has unified with the bone. It takes two appointments within the span of 10 days - one, to take measurements for the permanent crowns, and the second, short appointment for fixing and adjusting the newly placed teeth. The patient is advised to visit the doctor for follow-up appointments periodically.
